Academic & Professional Background

Public Health–Trained
Educator and
Systems Strategist

Ahjah Marie Johnson, Ph.D. is a public health–trained educator, researcher, and systems strategist whose work sits at the intersection of operational wellness, higher education, and sustainable capacity building. As the founder of H.E.R. Solutions LLC, she translates rigorous academic training into practical frameworks for individuals and organizations navigating complex, high-demand environments.

Grounded in a B.S. in Public Health, Dr. Johnson's scholarly formation taught her to read systems — the conditions, structures, and feedback loops that either sustain or erode performance over time. That population-level lens carried forward through her graduate and doctoral work, where she studied how higher education institutions design (and too often fail to design) environments that support the people working within them. Her research brings a theoretically grounded, evidence-informed perspective to every engagement — rejecting surface-level productivity prescriptions in favor of frameworks that account for the full complexity of her clients' professional and personal contexts.

Prior to founding H.E.R. Solutions LLC, Dr. Johnson built experience across higher education administration, student affairs, and public health practice. That time in institutional settings gave her an on-the-ground understanding of what sustainable high performance actually requires — not in theory, but inside real organizations with real constraints. Today she serves clients nationwide, with a particular focus on professionals carrying significant institutional responsibility who are ready to build systems, not just habits.
